Marcia Wilhelm Ostendorff
Bio: As founding member of the illustrious Oriental Sunrise Club, Marcia loves to explore the places, spaces, and organisms in habitat near her home. A retired earth and life science teacher, she currently lives in the river town of Oriental, NC with her husband and her beloved carnivorous plants. Following a family tradition of being absolutely enthralled with tiny things, Marcia enjoys getting up close to examine and photograph the minute details of water, sand, plants, fungi, and animals as she rambles along the pathways of daily life.
She enjoys serving on the Spirit of Justice Team at Greystone Baptist in Raleigh and is a member of the Labyrinth Committee at the United Methodist Church in Oriental.
Marcia has the ambitious goal of encouraging everyone she meets to get outside in some way every day and soak up the healing gift of God's amazing creation!
