Bio: Leslie Withers has led Taizé worship services at the Wild Goose festival for several years. A music educator by training, she plays flute and Irish penny whistle and sings. Along with co-creators, Jim Holmes and Tom Underwod, she is a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church in Decatur, GA, which frequently incorporates Taizé music in worship services. In retirement, she enjoys playing her instruments, singing, and helping to design and coordinate worship services. The way people join together in chant and prayer in the Taizé tradition is especially meaningful to her. Leslie lives in Decatur, GA with her partner, Mark Reeve and their two cats, Thunder and Lightning. When not making music, she is active in combating racism and working for peace and social justice and is on the Georgia Coordinating Committee for the Poor People's Campaign, a National Call for a Moral Revival.
