Bio: I bring people together through events. I've led retreats, trips, workshops and classes. I love creating a hospitable space, inviting people into it and seeing them make their own memories and friendships there.
I help people tell their stories. Since 2021, I have produced the live, in-person Story Tellers Open Mic Show in Charlotte, North Carolina. i love the intermission and after the show when people connect with each other over shared experiences and empathy. A self-taught documentary filmmaker, I have created eight short documentaries and have taught many others how. Through the Unconventional Film School, which I founded on a shoestring budget, we have filled over 800 seats with adult students through live, in-person classes on filmmaking skills. In 2022, I was named a Fellow of the International Documentary Association for this work.
