Starlette Thomas
Bio: Starlette Thomas is a fugitive of race who spies on a future “kin-dom” that is coming. A race abolitionist and womanist in ministry, she proclaims the raceless gospel to baptized believers and would be achievers of a reconciled church. Thomas regularly writes on race and its longstanding membership in the North American church as an associate editor and the director of The Raceless Gospel Initiative at Good Faith Media. She’s also written for Plough, Sojourners, Word & Way, and Red Letter Christians among others. Her podcast, The Raceless Gospel, takes her listeners to church as she and her guests tackle that taboo trinity— race, religion and politics. An unrepentant academician and bibliophile, Thomas is a graduate of Buffalo State College, Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School and Wesley Theological Seminary. She is the author of Take Me to the Water: The Raceless Gospel as Baptismal Pedagogy for a Desegregated Church.
