Shikera Thomason
Bio: In the last eight years of my life, I have been journeying through healing from past trauma. As I continually learn to unpack hurt, release the hurt, and adopt healthy patterns; I have an immense desire to hear others stories about healing and share healing nuggets. As a person of color, I am learning to embrace and love the beautiful, formerly denied parts of my culture, and I give others permission to embrace as well as nurture the fullness of their authentic identity. I believe I am to be the fully-present, self-loving, difference-maker in my own life and then in the lives of others. Shikera believes that more community connectivity is accomplished when the person making connections is not disconnected from any portion of their experience. Shikera is a human service provider, teacher, writer, podcaster, singer, social-justice loving, truth-speaking woman of color. She resides in rural Georgia with her beautiful ,sweet April. Shikera loves her growing tribe!
