Terry Allebaugh
Bio: Terry Allebaugh learned to play harmonica at the knee of his great-grandmother, Clara May Sandy, in Broadway, Virginia, located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. He has followed his lifelong passion to express the depths of the mournful and soulful sound of his instrument through a variety of styles including blues, jazz, gospel, country and bluegrass. He has been performing with FolkPsalm for the past seven years.
Terry also serves as President of Peace Hill at Avila, an organization committed to nurture and teach contemplative practices to build a more compassionate and just society. Centered at the Avila Center for Community Leadership in Durham, Peace Hill provides support for groups working together to create systemic change in the South and beyond.
