Bio: Kacie G. Hopkins is co-founder of Wildflower Enterprises, which she started with her twin sister in the mid-2010’s. Her professional backgrounds include violence prevention education and teaching undergraduate students. She is currently a PhD candidate at York University in Toronto, Ontario studying feminist alternative economies. Joe Hopkins is an advocate for and within Wildflower Enterprises, which he supports as Kacie’s life partner. Joe has a background in labour and community organizing and leading different kinds of faith communities. He was ordained as an elder in the United Methodist Church and currently leads a United Church of Canada congregation in Mississauga, ON. Kacie and Joe were both trained and commissioned as Earthkeepers by United Methodist Global Ministries, and Kacie secured a major grant for Wildflower Enterprises from the UMC in 2019. Together they continue to grow Wildflower Enterprises as a network of mutually supporting entrepreneurs, artisans, and creatives.
