Description: Joe Michael and Kenneth McIntosh present ideas and a guided imaginative journey enabling participants to connect their own wisdom with the power of myth. Joe will discuss the transformative concepts of the Hero’s Journey and how we can locate ourselves in a larger myth to make meaning, find courage, and grow resilience to make a better world today. Kenneth will share about the power of oceanic tales in the ancient world, and their connection with Eastern traditions of an effective life. He will then guide participants through an Immrama (a Pagan- or- Christian Celtic sea voyage) inspired by his best-selling book Oak and Lotus, inviting them to co-create a journey of inner growth through the medium of their own imagination.
This experience is co-led by Joe Michael and Kenneth McIntosh. Joe is a Disciples Minister, Druid Ovate, and founder of ChurchAsFolk.org. Kenneth is a published author, educator, and United Church of Christ Pastor, best known for his books Water from an Ancient Well: Celtic Spirituality for Modern Life and Oak and Lotus: Celtic Christianity in the Light of Easter Wisdom. He has given workshops and retreats in the British Isles and US, including the last three Wild Goose festivals.
