Description: Ragamuffin Movie is a movie based on the life and music of Christian singer-songwriter Rich Mullins. Rich Mullins was \real\ before it was popular to be \real.\ He rose to fame and fortune in the late 80s and early 90s, only to give it all away to live on a Native American reservation before his untimely death in the fall of 1997. Rich Mullins cussed like a sailor, smoked cigarettes, and confronted the hypocrisy of American Evangelism and Politics with the words and love of Jesus in his music and his smart-ass and overwhelmingly wise words between songs. Yes, he made music that moved people. But he was stirred to model his life like a modern-day St. Francis of Assisi. After the screening, there would be a Q&A with myself - the director (Schultz), and one of his best friends (David McCracken). Both of us have the heart to use this movie as an opportunity to engage in conversation about God's love being inclusive and for all and the inspiring reckless faith that we believe is universal within any religion or perspective.
