Description: I invite folx who identify as LGBTQIA+ to bring our whole selves to co-create with me a discussion and artwork around what it feels like inside when we experience belonging, gender euphoria, healthy emotional processing, being seen and heard, being called by our names and pronouns, being able to love our full selves and be loved, and being free to fully embody our bodies (our emotional, mental, and physical selves, our gender identities, and sexualities). Maybe this has never happened for you anywhere, but you long for it…then come show us what you DREAM it will look like, or just watch and listen as we explore together. The experience itself will create a space of embodied queer joy and belonging. Where do these spaces exist in our day-to-day lives? What does it mean to grow them around us even in tiny ways? What do we wish others knew about how that kind of pure joy feels? While I do not wish to create exclusion within this beloved community, this workshop will purposefully prioritize LGBTQIA+ voices. I ask for peaceful listening amongst allies who do not identify as LGBTQIA+, allowing the LGBTQIA+ voices to fully embody, connect, and co-create this event.
