Mapping our places: who's in, who's out?A conversation on land and space, the politics of domination, and making repairs
Time: Fri 11:00AM

Content Type: Facilitated conversation and brief presentation
Description: Religious and political power often join together to dominate land and space. From the Doctrine of Discovery to urban renewal to gentrification, the world has been regularly altered by exclusion and forced movement of people from spaces and places. What does it take to end this pattern? What theological and political beliefs must change?
In this conversation, we'll examine the strategies that dominant culture communities use to declare themselves innocent. We'll also consider how to begin making repairs for the lives and neighborhoods destroyed in pursuit of domination.
