Venue: Convo Table 02
Style: Conversation
Content Type: Fostering Youth Connections with Outreach
Description: How can we best encourage middle and high schoolers to regularly engage in helping those who are in need and marginalized, while also instilling that we’re all beloved and equal in worth? During 12 years of church youth ministry, I was delighted, and often surprised, at how eager middle and high schoolers are to help plan and participate in outreach ministry. I discovered that the more they ministered to those in need, the more comfortable they were connecting with varying populations outside of their regular “comfort zones.” Join the engaging group conversation, and feel free to share your own experiences. Handouts of outreach examples and tips will be distributed and reviewed.
